It is a time of change in Licking County!
Licking County Library would like your help in creating a record of our county as it is today for future generations. The library is requesting photo or short video submissions from the public to capture how cities, towns, villages, green spaces, and landmarks appear in 2025.

Photographs of buildings and landscapes that no longer exist are among the most requested items in local history at Licking County Library. Unfortunately, many of these images were never preserved. Through this project, LCL hopes to collect information to provide a historical record of how our county changes and grows.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

  • One photo per submission, but you can make multiple submissions.
  • Based on space, there is no guarantee all photographs submitted will be used in the exhibit.
  • The Library reserves the right to not include a photo in the exhibit and to remove a photo from the exhibit.
  • Selected photographs may not be displayed for the entire exhibit timeframe.
  • By submitting a photo, the submitter grants the Library permission to display it in the online exhibit, alter it as needed for sizing, and use the image for promotional purposes in newsletters and on social media.


CONTENT GUIDELINES:

  • Photos must authentically depict the natural world. Images should reflect wild specimens in their natural habitats, avoiding harm to animals or their environment.
  • Baiting or any practices that endanger animals or misrepresent their behavior will not be accepted.
  • Photos must be of Licking County and location information should be included.
  • Submitter is the unique owner of each photo.
  • Presented image must be 100% photographic origin, this means using a camera or similar device.
  • Digital art images will not be accepted.
  • Photos do not contain any infringing, threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, or obscene content.
  • Photos do not contain any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a crime or violate any law.
  • Photos do not infringe copyrights, trademarks, or any other intellectual property rights of any third person or entity.


IMAGE SPECIFICATIONS:

  • No watermarks or logos on images.
  • Borderless photos only.
  • Maximum size 100 megabytes.
  • Recommended 300 dpi minimum
